I might just add to this DIY if you don't mind Mark.

1. Disconnect the battery before you remove the airbag (no chance of the airbag warning light coming on) - if you don't disconnect the battery make sure you DON"T TURN ON THE IGNITION OR ANYTHING ELECTRICAL whilst the airbag is disconnected.

2. The Torque spec for the steering wheel bolt is 62.5Nm or 46ft-lb - best to torque this up to spec if you have a torque wrench.

3. Becareful when you pull the steering wheel off, sometimes the clock spring (the black plastic thing behind the steering wheel) can fall off ... if it falls off it's a pain in the ass to wind back together (usually requires buying a new clock spring from the dealer (very expensive).

4. To release the airbag you have to poke the screw driver on both sides of the steering wheel (I find 2'OClock position pointing about 20 degrees downwards is the best angle to release the spring clip).

Will be looking at doing this at the weekend Mark, cheers for that.

Any recommendations on changing the plastics facia and paddles over? I can do the paddles no bother I am sure, just the plastics I am worried about. Don't want to mark them, I'm sure they are easy enough though.

Cheers in advance,
Baz

New steering wheel fitted, BOOM! No bother, but without that video I wouldn't have had a CLUE how to remove the Airbag, cheers for that folks.
