Default Spluttery response

Cant figure this one out...

When driving around town in 3rd / 4th and floor it (from 2500 rpm) the car splutters a bit. Quite hard to explain really.

Software upgrade or the likes?

There's a bit of a "flat spot" on the throttle, usually only feel it in normal mode (not with sport button on), or perhaps a coil pack on the way out?

Cheers guys.

Its more like the car is getting too much / too little fuel and causing a misfire - but its only at said revs really. Hmmm...
