The guy name is ANIS who had 54 plate SG CSL £30k roughly around 30k mileage. I viewed his car. Didn’t bother driving it. Local to me. £30k. He said it wasn’t crashed. It was. I know because it had a new bonnet by bmw Dealer. I confronted him on it at the viewing
He denied it. Then wanted to know how I knew. I told him bmw told me. Anyway just goes to show the owner can be a member of CSL Register and it doesnt mean you are buying a "cream puff".

Interesting to read this, anyone know where the car ended up? That was my inspection report done when we first got the car in for pre sale inspection.

Is there no list on here like the Alpina Register with car info and a pic, last know etc.

Registration list would be a fantastic resource.

M3 GT Register is a great means of quick precursory check on a cars history before undertaking a specialist to carry out physical inspection.

It would take significant input of someone’s time to get it up and running though.

Shimmy had a pretty extensive history of every car that had been on the forum and others - he probably doesn't update it any more though.

I've also got a spreadsheet, mainly based on adverts here or on Pistonheads with approx 250 different registrations covered (a few of which might be the same cars underneath)

?? Out of interest does service history / mot history data base! tally up if registration have been changed, eg to private registration , ??

In general, as I’ve noticed gaps in mot history on some vehicles, just wondering if a chance to private regs Doesn’t always show history..

You might find it is something as simple as being off the road for that period of time. A few years ago mine was off the road for 18 months waiting for cams from BMW

Well I am on the hunt for my CSL. Seen a few and hopefully do a deal soon.

Once it arrives will be happy to help build the register and some sort of gallery list. Car spotters are usually handy for this and instagram.
