Well set foot back in the house at 15:30 today after a belter of a weekend.
Had sunshine, wind and rain but really enjoyed it. Met loads of top people throughout the 2 1/2 days i spent at the circuit and ended the weekend with a pax lap round with an Italian in a matt black GT3 RS. Really nice guy and soooo down to earth. Never broke any lap records but being my 1st time there I played on the side of caution and just took in as much of the circuit as i could. Inc some pax laps i managed aroun 12 in total which was not too bad considering the track was a wash out almost all of Sat afternoon and i had cups on Works out at just a couple of clicks under 1400 miles round trip and 4 days travel so im knackered. Matt, BTW that bug you spoke about....... it bit me |

Welcome safely back mate, it's some craic isn't it? How did you travel home, ferry to Rosyth? How did you find it? Ideally, if I was still living in Scotland that's what I would like to do, Rosyth to Zeebrugge, good overnight crossing, decent meal, drinks and a kip then only a couple of hours to the Ring. I envy the guys that live down south for having that luxury of only being an hour from the Chunnel and the Ferries.
Now I'm even FURTHER away being in NI, TWO ferries now. As if I'm not sick of boats enough. Look forward to some nice photos. That photo of the Cossie brings back some good memories. My Dad has a Black one on a C' plate then had to have the RS500 when it come out. I suppose that's where I get that bad habit from, having a normal M3 then just have to have a CSL after it. |

Baz,
Sailed from and back to Hull but will go from Rosyth next time for sure. Cost £220 for fuel within the UK so will work out a bit better on the wallet. The overnight sailing was just perfect and TBH the food in the galley was pretty good as well |

Glad you enjoyed it! I've got some photos from my trip on my desk as a little reminder, desperate to get back out there!
