Again not a massive update but managed to get the rear all bolted back up. It really is such a joy at this stage working with clean, freshly painted and new parts.

Its 110% better than it was that's for sure

So its been a little quiet on the restoration side of things but been working through it in the background.
Need to get this finished now as the race car is needing some attention prior to the 2020 season and Cesil is hogging the ramp.

Now at the stage where the front suspension can go on, all new P/S pipework here to be fitted and the new Rad, A/C Condenser and Oil Cooler (when I find one) can be bolted up.
After that its some interior bits to be tidied up and then some paintwork and we are ready to enjoy it throughout 2020

Rebuilt the propshaft with new bearings / rubbers etc and refitted that

Re coated the fuel pipes and brake pipes as per OEM with some fresh wax oil

All underside heat shields cleaned, painted or replaced as necessary

Re furbished AP's re fitted (rears at least)

Engine stripped for bearing inspection and replaced / rebuilt. New CPV fitted and Re fitted the engine x member with new engine mounts at this stage also.
The eagle eyed ones amongst you will have noticed the grey POR15 on the chassis leg but fear not this has now been prepped and painted SG so all looks original again.

struts built ready to refit and rack freshened up with new gators, tie rods and track rods

Exhaust all cleaned and ready for re fitment once I decide what rear silencer to fit (OEM or Aftermarket)

Not much done over the weekend,

Managed to swap out the A/C Condenser and original Radiator. After the oil cooler disintegrating upon removal it was a given that these were getting changed out. They were looking a little tired but best to have new anyway.

next on the list is to change the copper brake pipes I have just fitted. I just don't like the look of them so will re do with Kunifer. Once thats done I will be happy to refit the front suspension, brakes and get it back on its wheels.

Anyway,

Out with the old and in with the new.
