Just saying hello, first post.

Just collected my 2nd 1m, after selling my VO 1m in Sept last year( long story,wish I hadn't but hey), I decided that after my house move I would look for another, well I ummed and arred and missed a few trying to get my head around the inflated prices,looked at lots of rubbish and then got offered an M2 with 300 miles , so I figured go for it, it will be like a newer 1M, WRONG.......

Had it 3 days and decided I didn't like it, too new and with that soft modern BMW feel, nothing like 1m, which to me was like a newer old car and more of an "event" to drive, sold it to a dealer after 6 days ownership, and even made a few beers.

Then I turn on auto trader Tuesday morning and this one had just been listed, one owner 5500 miles, totally original, decent spec and AW,just what I wanted, oh and a bonus it was only 20 miles away....a deal was done and I collected it last evening.

I sold my VO last september as well looking to get the M2,
but with it not being a limited edition car, i went and got another AW 1M
Was your car the LS16 REG ?

Prices are strong on the 1M now they have gone up after the M2 was released.

Yes LS 61 reg.

I agree, Post brexit there seems to be more cars avail as well, top cars seem to be moving for all the money still regardless, where as general mileage/ condition ones Look like there hanging around in the upper mid 40's, I rang the White 6k miler in Edinborough , that sounded anice one,but missed it by a few hours, which reminds me I still have to contact a couple of owners to tell them I have purchased another.


My advice to anyone with deposits on M2 is drive one before you can't cancel,especially if there coming from CSL OR 1M and expecting it to be a replacement for either.
If I had had the opportunity to drive before purchase I wouldn't have purchased, still a great car the M2, just not got that special feeling like the older cars, more suited to the modern daily driver than the "sunny weekend go for a random drive somwhere car", if you get my jist...


P.s your looks too cheap for a straight one, you might get success if you put the price up, don't take this the wrong way, but I looked at your ad and thought exactly that

The Edinburgh car sold in 1 day
I have had a few dealers offer 44/45k, but i am in no hurry to sell.
Its all Pollished in the garage under its cover, i have had it out 3 times this year.

Prices are rising fast, but i thought i priced it well, its like new so i am happy to keep it till the right buyer comes along

I have been keeping an eye on them and the SB cars dont sell as fast as the VO or AW cars do.
