I'd tend to agree..... Trouble is you can test a car for 50,000 miles but 5,6,7 years is far harder for a new model before its release...

I'm far more impressed with BMWs warranty or good will if you prefer on the whole subject.

I spent near enough a years wages buying my car and would've been heart broken had it not been covered under warranty

Here in Switzerland they are saying, there is no such problem on a CSL, period.

There's been quite a few on here with CSLs that have had the issue....

I checked my subframe today when i sold my M3, and it was fine, no cracks in it at all. It was a hard driven car with 140,000 and a couple of ring trips in it.

It strange, cause i was convinced it would be gone with the age of it.

Just shows you, you need not all panic, there are some out there that dont fail!

some cracks you can't see and some are right under the subframe mounting points,you won't see them unless you drop the subframe,so there may have been a couple.

I was just glad there was any boot floor left at that mileage!
