When the BMW Inspection II Service is due I plan to come here :-)

Just wondered I am based in West London.

Are there any other good BMW Dealers you guys would recommend for the BMW Inspection II Service with plenty of experience in E46 M3s ; M3 CSs ; M3 CSLs ....

Out of interest why is Gareth so renowned ? Why don't any of you use any of the London based BMW Dealers ?

I just want the best but would love to hear the reasons why Elms ?

Btw I only have a lowly M3 CS not the full all singing and dancing M3 CSL .... For now anyway :-)

Hmm dont no if im the best person to ask as im kind of biast due to the fact your talking about me i think its mainly a trust thing as i have been looking after alot of csl's for many years both at Elms and previously at Murketts the owners no that i no the cars and no i dont skip parts of service mainly valve clearances ( not saying other people would skip this ) i do take pride in my work and am a genuine enthusiast of the cars . I dare say there are other reasons aswell but i will let the other guys have there say on that , if you have any questions drop me a pm or give me a call at Elms , and the cs is a good car aswell
Regards Gareth

Simples. I would much prefer to entrust my p&j to a welcoming dealer and enthusiast technician (and good bloke!) who knows the cars inside out having worked on them regularly.

Before I knew better, I took mine to another main BMW dealer 3 or so years back who pointed me to the Merc dealership across the road when I said I was here to drop my CSL off (CLS). Says it all.

It boils down to value, not cost.

I always get servicing done at the best dealership I know which means one that understands the car and knows the likely issues of the car best. This means that during servicing they are much more likely to pick up issues (partly due to the philosophy of dealers hunting for work repairing them and partly due to knowledge).

In the past I would normally choose to get the faults fixed at an Indy like Simpsons as they also have excellent technicians and understanding and sprayed are cheaper and they are happy to deal with a/m parts nd set up for track (something that Elms also now have shown they are happy to do).

However with a warranty and past goodwill most of this repair work was actually done by BMw at Murketts or more recently Elms as unlike many ither bmw dealers they recognise the issues quicker, they don't treat you like troublesome youths but valued customers who might well come back and spend more money there and buy cars in the future.

The VALUE is in the knowledge. Gareth can pick up stuff and warn you early. This can mean that even with a warranty you can avoid another excess bill by wrapping up jobs together, or at worse it means if necessary you can lay Elms to do work whilst it is there and avoid a long trio to Simpsons if it can be avoided.
