Yeah, it was well put together - I remember it being more of a Cluster F**k on the day, but they managed to make it look rather slick for TV!

I believe the Royal Marines actually approached the Top Gear team with an idea and offered their services to the BBC, who jumped at the chance! The Royal Marines got some nice showy and 'punchy' PR out of it too of course!

I had a quick squint at the Fiesta. As far as i could gather the only modification was that it had a slightly shorter, upturned rear exhaust section that was baffled to stop sea water entry. The car did really well indeed as it actually took 5 shoots to get all the footage needed, and the Fiesta coped admirably driving into the surf each time!

I think the shopping centre bit was filmed in Milton Keynes? I recognised it as i spent a day there waiting for my car when it was at Thorney's for a re-map!

I think it was that new shopping centre in west London....
