I'd definitely go for the comprehensive warranty rather than the "named components" option (and definitely not "driveline" as the cover is insufficient). I had named components the first year, and had a bunch of things that weren't covered - diff seals being one of them Comprehensive isn't that much more expensive for much better cover.

Warranty all the way.

Pick mine up from the dealers on Sat after having some sensors, the bonnet adjusted and the Diff replaced.

I have the named component cover and am on 67000miles.

Quite expensive for me due to the mileage but has to be done.

How odd I'm on "Named Components" BMW cover and I got a shiny NEW Diff + New Fuel Pump last year, no problem It's all down to the Dealership you use I guess If I were U I'd have a word with your dealer who refused your diff seal claim. It's part of the drive train and should have been fix under "Named Componenets" cover
BTW, what else did they refuse to fix ?

Named Components covers the Diff for sure... But it does not cover any oil seals on the car - says so clearly in the wording.

Is that Grant, apparently the bonnet was not sitting right so was playing havoc with the micro switch.

Happy days

Luck You that's got to be one of the easiest fixes on the CSL, almost as simple as the stuck Carbon Airbox flap I had @ the Ring in April, robbing me of power and me thinking maybe the HD was on the way out
I have since learned to think small
