Bingo ! That accidental battery discharge would have been enough to cause your current problems.
Have you had the battery fully recharged since then ? ... if not, it may not be holding a full charge.
Get the battery fully (and by that I mean professionally) tested as that is most likely to be the culprit

She's back up and running now

Its only been charged by driving since it went flat the first time. I think this cold weather which in turn means demisters/heaters on top of short journeys hasn't helped. Need to get it a proper charge at some point. Silverstone should do it
