ahh, was thinking about using scouring pad for the outside but wasn't sure, will give that ago when i get a change. will pop into town to get wire wool for the inside tomorrow.

Not sure about scouring pad as that will sratch...unless you use nylon, but don't think that will be abrasive enough.

A chrome cutting polish is what you want...comes in a tube like tooth paste....but you will need to work at it.

The Autoglym one is the best ive used on them , got all the crap off mine, its the metal polish , in a bottle , silver logo on it

Yes Autoglym is good but you should find lots at Halfords or the like.

I was very careful of this and I didnt scratch the outside in the slightest.

I used this (the green side)

Cheers guys, will go on a mission to halfords tommorow for that polish, think ive seen some there before. Pretty sure we have one of the above sponge things too.
