There are traders around that would offer 38/39 as a cash purchase for this spec car without seeing them so would probably creap up a little more if its as good as it sounds. Mine is SG 31,500 and ive also looked at selling then realised I was being a silly boy...

Looked at 6 different 964 C2's this week all with rep specialist dealers ( all down south ) and to be honest there was not one I'd buy for the money they were asking as they all had body or paint issues , apart from one of them that was up for £40K

Travelling back home I realised what a bargain a CSL is ... a low production , highly praised ( every new M3 / 4 is going to be compared against the csl by the press ) desirable 'classic'

Even my wife , who hates the car , can see why us blokes want one

964RS , press ripped it to shreds on launch ... 964 C2 , unloved for years and now you can't seem to find a nice one.

Ive been toying with selling my car, but now realise how difficult it would be to replace it with anything comparable .... we shouldnt undersell our CSL's

Could not agree more. Check out prices. How about 1995 Escort RS Cosworth for £34995.

Agree with Scott here. Prices have crept recently and I mean crept, whereas if you check the Prosches (GTx's) and the limited Ferrari's they've leaped in price.

The CSL's need a push from current owners and therefore sellers to bump the price up again. There's nothing comparable at £30k, or £40k infact even at £50k so they should be up there.

Tough shit if you didn't buy earlier and tough shit to me for not buying a black one when I thought about it. Lets get price fixing - the supermarkets do ;-)

Your in the money with the CSL, but when you switch it will depend on the GT3's buy in.
Could do with the GT3 bubble popping

When the bubble pops, it will affect all cars I expect. I agree air cooled ones have the most hot air in them.

Few cars - for example Porsche's / Ferrari's best have recently gained thousands on a monthly basis. JZM seem to add 10-20k to each RS they sell, and they still sell them, and often in a matter of days! Many not-as-special cars have piggybacked on the back of these finest - end-of-an-era heroes. CSL's have had a steady, more acceptable increase in value - so possibly a much safer bet if the bubble does pop? The CSL still looks undervalued today, especially if that bubble doesn't pop.
