You've made a good job modifying/personalising the 120d Sport with some after market suspension and spacers to make what was obviously OK into something that's better (Liking the cheeky carbon wrap roof too ) It seems modern BMWs, not just the 1 Series, are extremely colour sensitive (even by BMWs own admission) White has become the NEW Black and seems to be working best on the likes of 1 Series so your colour choice is Spot On Also the 2 litre Dieseasel engine (which originally derives from the E46 3 Series ) is an absolute Gem, especially in the 1 Series, only bettered by the 123d and 135i . You've really been spoiled with the 120d Sport and you really should (NOT!) try the 116i to get my point ... it's just plain wrong
Suffice to say I'm not having a personal pop at you Dazza (why would I ) I'm just voicing my opinion which is at the oposite end of the spectrum to yours
ATB with the test drive

I have driven a 125i and 135i coupes (all the models of the hatch version).
The 125i was fully loaded with the BMW performance stuff.
Nothing special at all.

The 1 M is a tuned 135i, a bit wider, a bit ///M arketing etc.
It will sell good to the targeted market, similar market to the 135i coupe one // usually short and definetely wannabe-faster-than-M3 owners.
No offense meant but I have seen 20+ 135i coupes in Zurich and all of them were below 1.60m

On standard road tyres?!

No. Didn't think so, 8:12 is very impressive on normal tyres! The CSL would only be a second or 2 quicker if it wasn't on cups I should imagine..
