Yes i hear what you are saying - but just because the bolts are "Thatcham Approved" doesnt mean they wont go walkabouts any less than a normal locking wheel bolt - they simply create more annoyance for the thief. The way i look at it is if they are going to that much trouble to crack a locking nut then they can have them. There must be cheaper bolts that do the same job??

well point of view, I had a cheap set, few weeks later oxydation took place on them they became grey and the sort of chrome layer starter to come off. Rust appeared.. A rusty lock nut with 4 BBS quality nuts doesn't look good to me... after it's a choice.

Personnally I'm a thief I see good look nut's, I pass my way, I see cheap lock nut's or easy design, I'll have a try even if I damage the rims I don't care.... it comes or not.... whatever, let's give it a try..

interestingly i tried 12mm all round on two trackdays this year and found to my surprise the car felt better handling on the limit, and better balanced rathert han understeer. Not sure if it is me adjusting my driving style but nonetheless it did feel better.

Even better than that (have stock suspension so cant adjust) the wet tiem at Snetterton last moth i still had Cups and spacers on and the car felt loads better tahn in the wet before. No idea again if thats me or the car but there you are.

Saying that my track rims seem to have welded themselves to the spacers now so i think i will be keeping them on!

Yes, point taken about the cheap bolts corroding - think i'll ask Roy for a set of Mcguards.
Shim - thats great news that you found it improved your set up on track.

I can say Roy from CAs bolts are spot on as are there locking nuts.

Guys when you say 12mm all round does that mean 6mm per side??

Guys,

I bought some 8mm non hub centric spacer and have the worst wheel wobble, the supplier has agreed to take them back if I was to down to say go down to 5 or 6mm each side will this fit on the hub to make them centric??

What make are they. I'd only go h and r hubcentric.
