Jack wheels up and spin them, see if pads lift, one cause of this is a cracked disc, check inside too as this happened to me.

I finally solved this yesterday.
It turns out that the retaining clip in the rear AP on the affected side was not mounted properly. It was very lightly clipping the disk. I simply pulled out the retaining bolt, repositioned the clip and replaced the bolt - car is now fine. If anybody has had the same symptoms and has swapped or replaced their pads, it could be that you have reseated the retaining clip without realising - in my case the disk and pads were all fine. |
