Those are simple engineering, surely someone in the UK produces the same?
That's Globalisation for you dUnk.
To be fair the Americans fit them as well, it's just majority of them don't get to use these to their full potential
... too many straight roads in the US

Trust me on this one.

The guy from ECP came out to our gaffe. Saying the bushes were 100% the same, he was wit the lemforder guy, they were both adamant they were exactly 100% the same. We knew just b looking they were not. We then got sme real bushes out of our stock. They looked, felt completely different. The ECP lemforder stuff lasts only 1/3 of time too.

Find some updated race arms shim, your car is hardly a comfortable cruiser,

Now I am confused......

Lemforder are not the same as OeM (but only the ball joint is fixed)
Get race bushes (but that makes ride even harder)
Get race arms (are they found somewhere else)?

Is it your wishbone ball joint thats gone?

Which one, inner(subframe) or outer(hub)?

The rear bush gives the car compliance, and changing that to a "solid" bush will make the drive a fair bit harsher.

The arms and the rear bush are seperate items.

You need to buy the wishbone, then if you so desire buy standard rear bush or uprated rear bush. I would buy uprated,

Why dont you get the wishbone arm changed under warranty, then fit uprated rear bushes?

outer balljoint has gone (so arm needs replacing - you are saying with BMW not lemforder!)

i think it comes with inner replaceable ball joint if not i will replace and also rubber mount circular (7) above on diagram

Lawsy/Matt does that make sense and if not what would you do?

The wishbone is complete Shim, inner and outer ball joints are integral.

Its only the rear bush and housing which are seperate-( item 7) these are the ones Matt was showing can be upgraded.

If the price difference is not much go BMW, 2 years warranty.

I just find the ECP stuff not quite as good, fine for a road car, but on yours I would go BMW.

We fit the ECP Lemforder stuff everyday, its not bad stuff If I am being honest, it just doesnt seem to last as long as Merc OE stuff. But its warranted and they replace it no quibble for us.

The BMW stuff might be different?

If the previous arm was fitted by BMW less then 2 years ago then in theory it should still be covered by BMWs own 2 year warranty
Worth checking your extensive history file Shim
