IMO you just can't beat the CSL for all round capability and practicality - 4 seats, good boot, etc. Rock solid values, relatively cost effect maintenance. These are all reasons why I'd buy a 997 RS in addition to my CSL, not instead of.
Details are in the link above.

Love your thinking, Alex - the last time I had a 911 and a CSL on the drive, it almost propogated an early divorce.

Ah, sorry. Didn't see link.

That looks great. 25k is not high mileage really. I'd be very interested in that. If it checks out, why not go for it? Black is

My 996 GT3 has got 87K miles and a hard track history .
But the engine still runs like new

Love my CSL, much lighter and tighter than standard E46. Brakes are terrible, but I've got APs on order and am booked in for 'Ring trip in March. Can't fault it. However...

...this weekend, looking at a (slightly leggy) GT3 RS. It's right on the cusp of affordability, has no back seats for my boys and will probably cost me a fortune in maintenance. But it's tempting. What to do?
25k miles surly isn't leggy, its only just run in.
