Dont worry too much Dan.......mine did it for a while after a TD, it came back on eventually but cant remember exactly how long ....and then the head gasket blew !!!! PMSL

You know what Dunc, you've really filled me full of confidence today!

I'll keep an eye (fret like fuck) over it for a few days and see how I get on, unless anyone can tell if there is anway of resetting it?

Might give my local Indy a bell tomoz? Either that or might finally buy some BMW warranty tomoz!

Battery disconnect ??? Maybe chuck in half a litre of 10W60 or get down to your local Indy and get them do a diagnostic check for faults.

overfilling your car will be a problem

just wait and itll be fine, if it has no oil you would have known by now

Don't want to over fill it though mate, it was reading 1.0L beforehand, will give my Indy a call in the morning and see what they say, might pop up there saturday morning if they can reset it

Thanks MD, that thread makes a lot of sense, I do very short journeys morning and night, trying to extend it a little at the moment for this reason, thanks for the link
