should be a cheap csl but buyers beware bmw have put this in the auction
What do those numbers mean ?
I take it that if BMW put it through the auction, it is not a good one for them to sell themselves ?
How do you know BMW are putting it through ?

Or it could just simply be too high mileage for them to warranty and sell. They do have mileage limits, afterall it is a 5/6 year old car. It may be perfect but just too high miles. And most cars sold at auction are not mileage verified. it's a minefield to warrant miles as it's so easy to have full history and still be clocked with Noone the wiser

S88CSL, I know it was a typo, but that was my old steed, before it went to Gibbo. Last I heard it was still up for sale by the present owner. I was tempted to buy it back again, but just too many owners now, although I know most of them !!

Never understood the 'too many owners' thing. What's that all about, especially if you know most of them? Wouldn't that be better than buying from one guy you know absolutely nothing about?

True, but I know 4 out of the 8 or 9 !! Now that is too many owners and will affect resale values.

Hi m8

Was a great car, I know the chap who I sold it too Chris looked after it and am also aquainted with its new owner.

I agree about the too many owners things but it still dont deny the fact its one of the better CSL about.

Certainly seems to be a good'un. Now belongs to my father-in-law having done a deal with Chris.

I had my own CSL up until August and sold it to replace with a standard M3 as now have a GT3 I use on circuit.

I get to look after the CSL as my father-in-law has too many cars and too little space! It drives so well it makes me wish I'd returned mine to standard and used it as an everydayer instead of buying an M3.... it was KW and AP'd.

Glad to hear that a few of the previous owners are still "known" within the community and personally I don't see it as an issue as each time I buy a new car, the first thing I do is spend a load of money making it perfect!

It's clearly had a little paint but it drives better than any of the 4 or 5 CSL's I've had a chance to experience including my old low owner/mileage one.

Cheers

Simon
