I do - i have a Panasonic HD camcorder which works well inside the windscreen attached by a suction mount. Unfortunately the camera and mount are very noticeable if i was to try and use it at the Ring...

Will be fine for Oulton but i will give the 'GoPro' a try at filming your car too

So to those that have bought one, what are your thoughts?

The only thing that is slightly putting me off is the mounting part being permanent (well 3M taped on at all times).

I bought a GoPro Motorsports Hero Wide 5MP Camera, £165 and used it at Spa first time out of box, it works fine, a good few sticky pads to mount it, I also bought a roll cage clamp for it, £30. Also 2 years warranty. The only problem is the sound, as its a waterproof case when mounted inside the car you cant hear $hit. I was going to look at purchasing another clear plastic case for the camera, and using a drill give it the Edam Cheese treatment a fill it full of holes, retaining the other casing for external use.
Its quite small and easy to slide into the mount, something you could easily do once you have gone through the barrier at the Ring say.
