Couple of years ago when i wanted to buy me a fast car, an v8 vantage was within my price range aswell. I've learned that they its for the most part a good looking car with a nice sounding engine. Handling isn't terrible but not in the league of an CSL or even normal M3. As far as i am concerned. However i've never got to the point to drive one. CSL was, as usual faster

I would buy one as a Summers Car when you want to take it slow(er).
