BMW know exactly what sequence they built all the CSL's, so to my mind they should have had numbered plates for the whole production not just UK cars. I'm sure BMW could do this from their records.

Maybe lobby BMW when we get to Munich?

we can try but I think it might take 127 meetings and 14 years to agree!
