We aborted to the Pistenklause... Today looked good though. Did a touristfahrten lap in the diesel shooting brake (E91 335d touring). Not quite as planted or quick as the CSL, but pretty amusing 3 up.

I was there on the 1st, -8, very icey and slippery until lunch then the sun came out and got to 6 degrees. What an awesome track! 3rd gear synchro went at 4 as I was just starting to get the hang of some corners and grow balls through others. Can't wait to go back

I was also there on the 1st, and after a dicey cold start, the rest of the day was ace. I was in a white e36 m3 track slag called Rodney. Saw the blue Noble out on track, going well. Was also at the Ring today. Dodgy weather this morning (very slippy) but got some good laps this afternoon. Wished I had brought the CSL instead of Rodney.

Speaking of CSLs, anyone on here in the black CSL doing some 'controlled' drifting on the GP circuit today, about 2 cars in front of me? May even be the same person doing doughnuts in a CSL in the car park at the end of the day?

Saw that guy, but not sure who it was?

There was a load of guys there from Driftworks, including someone with a V10 engined E46... The CSL may have been with them?

I think I remember seeing your car. I was in a red E46 M3

And the knob doing them in a black M3 on Wednesday in the car park.

The V10 engined CSL was towed off due to a drive shaft going. I meant to take a picture of the CSL with the 'Azure Blue' - ? wrap. My wife liked it but it was not really my thing. There were also a couple off looky likey CSLs.

Only one vehicle kaput on the Nordschleife on the track day, a red Ferrari. French plate I think.

No more questions, your honour.

Shame there were not more CSLs, but the weather was tricky, admittedly. The other vehicle that had a mishap on Wednesday was the Fiat Arbarth driven by Keith from The Prodigy, who rear-ended it. I saw him checking his tyres earlier. If only I had the foresight to shout "release the pressure"...

Shimmy, your 2:49 seems all the more impressive now I've driven the circuit!
