Thumbs up

Congrats Hot66 What's the spec etc etc?

I've also bought a CSL (29k miler SG) - deposit paid, and hoping for it to be delivered early nxt week. Can't wait!

And whilst on the look-out for a CSL, i bought a manual 2006 CS for a track toy. Should be good to compare the two....

So what is the going price for a standard 29,000 miler (warranty/non warranty)?

Surely an oxymoron, CS for a track toy.

So you are stockpiling e46s. You just need a cabriolet and a standard e46

not had chance to wash the car and these are 2 photos I quickly snapped today.

Was originally looking for a low mileage car as thats what my Turbo was ... problem was though I became too concerned about adding mileage & de-valuing the car which kind of made it pointless .

My CSL is a 2003 car with approx 60K .... perfect for me as I will be putting maybe 8K year on it. Has had cosmetic paint so I can use it as designed without too much worry rather then becoming a polisher

Full BMWSH & a monthly BMW warranty in place. . Recently had subframe ( new boot floor) and major vanos work by Elms. Very tidy inside . pretty spec free car , except aircon.

Been owned by at least 2 forum members.

I've also got spare set of genuine CLS alloys just refurbed in stock silver , but think I'll run with the bronze for a while.

Can't see understand the comments on the gearbox ..... having never driven an automated manual, I absolutely love it . Really suits the character of the car.

I bought the car to use and drive . My 1973 Porsche is pampered and generally not driven when its wet , salty etc & I wanted the CSL to be a car I could get maximum pleasure from at all times.

Nice James
Looking at your lovely shingle drive gives me the urge to do donuts...not sure why (I'm 45 FFS!) but it does.

Generally, but not always, it's lads who've never driven one over a sustained period, or even at all, so haven't a clue. Anyone who genuinely wouldn't even consider buying a CSL because of the gearbox is a bit of a numpty IMO, but mostly I think it's all just talk!

We seem to have been classed in the outside world (eg Pistonheads) as being manual gearbox haters because we've got SMG. But that's far from the truth as loads of us have manual cars too. Unless you're thinking of fitting SMG to the 911S now?

Car looks great btw!
