Lol I noticed those cup holders too

Maybe as they would house an Amstel well

Nice work by the way, finished well and looks good

few more photos over the last year or so

last year was mostly spent getting round to some maintenance on the car which cleared me out a bit

diff was proper knackered, managed to source this from Germany freshly built with an E36 EVO LSD and a 3.91 CWP

which i proceeded to rebuild with a 4 plate upgrade

while it was in bits decided to ditch the dual mass fly for a lightweight single mass job from driftworks

even with a sprung clutch assembly it gives off a fair chatter once hot, adds character braided clutch line / release bearing / release bearing guide bush / stainless steel pivot pin / prop centre bearing & guibo were all fitted at the same time

to tighten up things steering wise i fitted some offset powerflex black series castor bushes

and a solid alu coupler

combination of the 2 has tightened up the steering no end and the offset bushes have reduced bump steer a fair bit on the road

went back to an OEM bumper for the brake ducts - fitted a full 3" hard motorsports duct kit. even with the AP's and RS29's all round i was boiling the fluid last time at KH, also at the ring the brakes were a bit on or off, so keeping them a bit cooler should help things all round

swapped the airbox with a mate for his genuine one, at the same time i sent the DME off for full conversion to CSL spec with the hardware swapped and latest software loaded which has been tweaked to suit non csl cams

while the DME was away I wired & plumbed in the necessary MAP sensor

night and day difference in drivability in comparison to the shite alpha-N map from Evolve especially at low revs where it struggled with no MAP sensor previously, also evolve didn't allow for use of INPA etc i found?! so yeah it's awesome to have proper CSL software on it now

did plenty wee road trips last year and generally just enjoyed the car

car has been in storage so far this year, been busy saving for a move to NZ in september

but when this bumper came up on here, well......... had to. just looks so much better than the OEM M3 bumper and miles better than the rep i ran before!!! should get the bumper back from paint mid week then the car is off for MOT

brake ducts will be moved to the undertray and will be dailying the car for next few months before it's back into storage while i'm away - selling my usual daily 330d msport end of this month

cheers

What an awesome car .

Use Castrol SRF brake fluid - it's expensive, but fluid boiling problems disappear......

Looking good Steve. Thought you'd been quiet over on NL lately.

The NZ trip isn't permanent then? Not tempted to sell the Beastie?
