Thats my biggest reservation re the A45. The seemimglyhigh cost. If it was 32k it would have been ordered last week.

It is an outside option though, the 997 tt.

With regards to the other 2 ... No to Cayman R as it's only 2 seater (despite being a decent motor) and just forget the A45 as it's: Wrong wheel drive, boring 4 pot and I'm guessing here but I can see you selling it within a week of buying it. I'd rather have the BWM M135 anytime and they are great value.

What about another 911 Turbo Pork Tip ? 4 seater of sorts. The silver 996 Turbo you had few years ago went well Can U get into a very early 997 Gen 1 @ £40K yet ?
I had the 997 turbo, great car matt. Cheaper to maintain than gtr, high £40's still, but an option.

In honesty, reason for selling has always been money and me panicking, seeing £40k plus sat on drive getting little use and depreciating always frightened me. Silly really, so now wedding is done, I know where wallet is up to, so systems go.

I think somebody mentioned it already, bit the 1M is a great buy for that price. Depreciation is not an issue right now, and I see no reason for that not to continue.

If you have not driven one I would strongly advise it, its a fantastic car. Actually my second favourite BMW of the last 25 years (after the CSL).

Ticks all the boxes IMO, if I had £40k right now that's where I would put it.

Fair enough Shane so residuals are very important, obviously , in which case bit of forward thinking is required.
Lots of people getting out of E92 M3 at the moment so they are droping in value BIG time, as well as the NEW M4 being just around the corner, promising to be a great M-car with E46 M3 curb weight, straight 6 Twin or Tri Turbo with 450 BHP + and M4 CSL in the pipelines as well, all of which is going to kill the residuals of the E92 M3, so that's straight out of the equation.

The R35 GTR values are also heading South, just not as fast as the E92 M3. Where do you recon the GTR is going to be @ price wise in lets say 12 months time ?

I recon if you can get into a 997 Turbo @ around £40 ish K that's the one that's going to hold it's value best. Just my thoughts.

C63 AMG is better but neither would make a good track car.
