Some photos of the final widebody kit:

All parts now is ready,Kohler Racing engine management kit arrived from Sweden, use the 6 speed manual gearbox from E92 M3 not from E39 M5 and i really hope we finish the car soon
P.S.When i wait to finish the car i will make some parts from real carbon fibre like airbox, engine covers and some aerodynamic parts from the car

If looks could kill Martin, you'd be a winner ever time, even without the 'V10' lump.
You must have shares in that graphics company, you certainly keep them busy, I'm surprised you can see where your going!

Hi,

Will be interesting to see how the V10
goes on the ''Kohler'' ECU.

My understanding is that its running a 64 Bit
Processor and its functionality speed will
be ''OK'' in that much of the BMW Can-Bus is
not in operation thus allowing the ECU to
operate things like the Stepper Motors etc
at their normal speed.

I am not 100% convinced, in that the MS S65 DME
actuates the stepper Motors at something like
0.1 of a Milli second so not sure how this
will be compensted if its not fast enough
as your Vanos Spread and Fueling etc are correlated
and governed to an extent by TPS and Load etc,
all calculated by the ECU.

Its a little bit different on the Engine Dyno
as regards being sat in your Car.

Are you running SMG III or the Manual V8 Box ?

If its SMG III, then I will be really interested to see
how it all functions.

Regards,

The Gorilla.

Edit- just saw that its Manual Box

I use a E92 M3 S65 6 speed manual gearbox.
The Kohler Racing Management kit is comes with his own ECU not OEM and the OEM wiring loom is moded to work with this ECU.Actually i will used this management kit with OEM ,standart sensors etc.

Hi,

Many thanks foir the reply.

Yes, I am aware that the Kohler DME
is standalone ECU / DME and uses a bastardised
Engine harness.

Its a Tornado ECU replacing the 32 Bit Typhoon
DME, which was used in the same
manner, bastaridised std engine harness
as a Kit for the S54.

I was interested to understand that even
though the Kohler ''standalone ECU/DME'' is not
having to control ''other car functions''
via the Can Bus, was its default processor
speed able to operate the requirments of
the Engine functionality, more so the
Stepper Motors as they are twin in the
Case of the V10 and this is an area
where a lot os standalone ECU/DME
come unstuck.

Regards,

The Gorilla.
