Went to have a look at this CSL the other day

The service history seems ok to me and the car seems in much better condition than one I looked at a main dealer in Wolverhampton

The front bumper and bonnet gave been resprayed which is a shame as it would have been nice to see the original condition

Downsides apart from the price is that it needs a inspection 1 service and brake fluid change, and the subframe has not been done.

Also as Hexagon are no longer a main dealer they car wouldn't come with a AUC warranty just a RAC one which I doubt is as comprehensive

The car also has APs and KW suspension where again I would prefer a standard car

It was nice to see a big folder of history with the car though

The car is ready to be used with all the bits on if standard you would only have to change the bits.

Positive spin is that you would be saving at least £5.5K with the mods already fitted.
If you want it OEM it wouldn't cost that much to revert it back to original, you can then resell the bits you don't want to offset the cost.

Thanks

Would probably keep the APs but change the suspension as not going on track

Where is the love Nick? It was GT3 money but not anymore. The last 996 GT3 went for GBP 52,000 I believe.

You heard it here - Das Chin "Fire starter"

Interesting to hear LHutchin's comments. Are buyers really now looking for standard cars. Perhaps as they become classics it is all about OEM - ????

For me the car would need to be an investment as well as a toy

Guess that OEM is best for keeping value of the car?

ultimately , the more collectable the CSL becomes , the future owners ( collectors) will want stock spec . Same with Porsche.

E30M3's .. higher value in factory spec ?
