When I wanted to drive the CSL, I told them I wanted to take to a garage for repair or service and they would insure for minimum of two weeks only. I'd say please insure for 4 weeks just in case. When it ran out I would do the same when I needed it. Did this for a year or two till they knew what i was doing. Saved me a fortune. Cost for 2 weeks cover was £27.70. Only drove in the summer so no commitments to an annual policy which was something like £2k+ at the time. Pay as you Go you could call it

You'll have to get track cover separate if wanted at all.
Thanx karbon kid and bounce for your input.if cci can't give me a good deal I'm gonna tell admiral I need to cover the csl while the 325 is having bodywork and do separate insurance with one of bounces suggestions.thank you both for ya help.

If you are doing a few trackdays it'll be cheaper to stick the CSL on an annual policy that includes 5 trackdays or similar than insure separately, you are looking at £250 odd per day for standalone cover I'd say.

Totally agree, mine is up this week as well so I may get the finger out. I have 4 cars insured with the one company though which I've been with for ages but unfortunately they do not offer track day cover. Will be a shame to move though.

Sorry to say this Chris but there is no loyalty in Car insurance game these days. You've got to shop around for the best quote/price every year it seems

I agree 100% and have each and every year got a stupid renewal quote and had to bargain them down. So I decided this year to take the plunge and move it but my current company called yesterday with a quote much cheaper than I seem to get on any of the comparison sites
I really am confused.com lol

Despite being desperately bad at returning calls, CCI have never let me down. Their quote for this year came down from the year before, it includes several trackdays in the price and even their bespoke cover for trips to the 'ring isn't so terrible.

Gregor is that "bespoke cover" for Touristfahrt or just closed track days at the Nordschleife??

I should be picking up a csl very soon and have looked into insurance. I have my race car with CCI but now say they wont touch me on any M3 let alone a CSL as iI am only 27. Im very disappointed as the previous policy i had with them with my M3 was no only cheap but included 5 track days as well. So Im now searching for another insurer.

Any leads

<10000miles p/a, Track days would be nice,

I bought my CSL at 27 and had no bother at all insuring it, was with Tesco I think, just paid for trackdays separately or didn't bother for tracks with a lot of run off.
