So how do you value what to ask for off with a slightly late running in service? I know when I come to sell there'll be doing it to me?

Also should the car have the limited number plaque on it?
No the plaques came after, they occasionally come up for sale on here,PM Mark

I think your tight, you might see another car on here soon.

I don't know the CSL in question but (with all due respect) you might look a bit foolish asking for a discount on a perfectly fit/immaculate car with Full Service History just because 10 years ago its running in service was @ 2000 miles. The fact is it had one ...and BMW themselves OK R.I. Service up to 2000 miles. As you assume yourself, if it was going to have a problem because of a lateish R.I. service it would have happened already.
My Cecil had it's R.I.S. @ 1800 miles... it has Full BMW main dealer service history and its had BMW's own Mondial Warranty for the first 9 years of its life without any issues on numerous Warranty claims, some engine related like full VANOS system replaced @ around 60K. It's still running perfectly on its original engine and head gasket, after 11 + years and 90K miles
Out of curiosity, I had a compression & leak down test carried out by our Gareth and it was all bang on speck.

Matt good news to read one of our vet cesils is behaving.

I was beginning to think it all goes tits up when the odometer hits 65K.

At least we have Gareth to make everything A1 should the need arise.

Exactly
My Cecil has been good to me since I got him in '09 @ 66K Changing engine oil & filter every 3K miles and having only Gareth work on him has helped to keep Cecil in tip top condition. Also, being always garaged when not in use has preserved all of the exterior components like rubber seals & the CF roof from deteriorating.
He's now into his 6th hibernation (in my ownership) all tucked in his little room with a fleecy blanket on and the mandatory C-Tech life support hooked up

My car had running in service late, just over 2000 miles, got a compression test done and its perfect! I would have thought that's more important than a car that had its running in service on time but doesn't have good compression

Another late running in service here too, 2100 miles. I bought mine when it was 2 years old with 17000 miles on it from a dealer together with a letter from the DP stating that they'll standover any warranty work needing carried on the engine. Needing nothing until the vanis unit at about 30k miles, since then been faultless.

Mine was run in at 1000miles and has been 100% reliable, not an unnecessary penny spent on it in 104k miles
