never heard of them doing it. Do a full rebuild and not just the little filter.

my first vanos lasted 75k miles. The next 4 considerably less distance.

Nope... strangely it's not part of any of the scheduled services

You have to request this, which I've done on couple of occasions with mine.
The Vanos filter is only about £10 and less then half an hour worth of labour. Gareth did mine during the last "Inspecion 1"

by request.

I got mrvanos to do mine, he traveled down from Darlington to Solihull with a reconditioned vanos, changed the vanos, the cam sprocket bolts, the top chain guide, gaskets, seals, filter and retimed the engine and gives a 2 year guarentee on his work!! Saves hashing it up yourself with besian parts and he tells me the instructions they supply are incorrect anyway!!
