Well, i disagree regarding the turbo charging. Its not really BMW's own decision but more the stupid EU regulations that are forcing them.

And more. My final conclusion is that everything is f**ked up due to marketing purpose.

Am I the only one that thinks that BMW has lost it's way with it's M-Cars?

Since the E46 I really think BMW M has gone downhill, the E90/92 did nothing for me, the latest F82 is just a big tank, albeit quick, it's soulless.

Obviously interested to see what they produce CSL wise, but my current thought is that it will be the same as a GTS version, and that's been a bit hit and miss.

BMW seem to have lost the plot in general. They, along with Audi, seem intent on having a car that fits every imaginable permutation of what a car could be. They've created some real Homers.

In terms of fun cars yes I believe they have lost the plot, but in terms of mass marketing they could be onto a winner. I have lost count of people who buy & think they have a M car just because of some little badge. Just don't try explaining it to them.

Totally agree bmw don't have a car I'd trade the csl for. Don't think I could trade for anything other than a true super car.

No, unfortunately you're not the only one who thinks the same as i do. BMW lost it indeed and i am that kind of BMW fan who says that BMW 'stopped' in the E46..or (with heavy heart) in the E92. The newest models are really crap (in my personal opinion) except the E82 1M and a few others and btw i would like to ask, if i'm the only one who finds the M4 a huge BMW fail?

Kind Regards

I am not a fan of modern BMWs either.

The last real BMW for me is the E46, even though I have an E90 M3 for everyday...

Their designs have been disappointing and renaming the M3 Coupé an M4 is scandalous.

I was actually thinking to myself over the weekend, there is not one single BMW i'd want to own right now in the current line up.

Apart from dear old Cecil, I honestly think my days of BMW ownership are over, and I've had BMW's for around the past 20 years, and had a fair few of them.

A shame really but I guess times change.
