Seems a reasonable price Nathan....especially if the interior is still with the car!!

Shimmy taking into account the provenance attached to "the csl previously owned by the shimster" we're talking a shit load of cash.

This might be the one the parts came off (or has he crashed more?) Seems irrelevant though if Simpsons sourced a replacement shell. Body parts are just parts. I'd be more curious as to the engine history. If all in order and you want a track car, seems like a good buy.

The more I read these threads I feel like turning mine into a full on track slag!!!

Why have a burger when you've got Steak at home!!!

Ive not been drinking, its only 10am, comparing E46 M3 to a CSL.

Gents and Ladies,

This car is now mine. And, it is awesome.

it is the thorney motorsport race car shell and vin with parts from the crashed CSL above.. Car is phenomenal and well, the stiffness, unbelievable. Feels even stiffer than my 7.2 RS. What a great base.

The exhaust is currently too loud. Previous owner thinks it is stock but I can't help but think that maybe a crack has developed somewhere. Anywho, off to Simpson's for them to give it some TLC soon.

The steering wheel is shot. I would like a new one. How much is one and where should i acquire it? Similarly, the carbon rear console has bits of lacquer falling off and is yellowed quite badly. Can this be repaired? The passenger carbon door card also has some milt spots as does the rear bottom diffuser (which also has some chipped lacquer). Other than these cosmetic bits, mechanically the car feels great.

I am glad i made the plunge.

Get Mark CSL to sort the carbon bits out while you enjoy as many track days as possible in it.

Adem has a thread on the steering wheel retrim but think the company are waiting on the alacantra.

Came across this car at Snetterton once but must of been on call down laps.
