This applies to every organiser not just BaT.

when running a business it's just not worth the risk.

I'm pretty sure most of the Caterham's out on the track today were Academy drivers so pretty new to this driving on track stuff.
Not all us Caterham drivers are the same........
Ohh your a catherham driver, so your part of the family.

You seem to forget he has gone out of his way to look for an excuse to send me packing!!! Lesson learnt regarding the times posted but have a little look on some other forums & yes in the track section alot of talk regarding lap times etc

I don't see it as any different to speeding on the road, we all take the risk and do it sometimes but if we get caught you take the punishment.

If its a mate doing it on the pit wall i think that is a little bit different, but keeping it to yourself until the end of the day is really not that hard.

83SY would never have been thrown off the day if he hadn't posted the times during the day. If he'd waited until he left then nothing would have been done about it and you could all go back to talking about a good time round Donington.
Wont matter now its all over but i am sure almost all CSL and Track drivers love to know there lap time.

There are other ways he could have delt with this he could have refunded him and taken the % and had a happy customer all he done was get some bad PR that could cost him a lot more than the money he got.

A happy customer is worth any amount when you run a company
even when they are wrong

He also said he didn't like the way I'd styled my hair, fair reason for sending me home if you've seen my hair!

Totally agree with that regarding a happy customer. I've had my fair share of horrible customers & i wouldn't like to socialise with them but they do pay my mortgage & pump up the track day fund!

He would have been better biting his tongue, we all have to from time to time.

Regardless what his friends/supporters might say, and as I say to begin with I could see their point, he has not won himself any customers IMO, only possibly lost some.

You are allowed to film at trackdays and reviewing film will tell you how fast you completed a lap in, does not mean you are timing.

Good times by the way, you have Shimmy worried now.

My best in the GTR was 1.19,07 in the morning. Standard car, and nice and smooth driving. I think I did 1.20 with Yanto in, it was too easy tbh in that thing, and thats part the reason I sold it, it could have gone far quicker, but was not so rewarding on track and would cost a mortgage every trackday. That was first time out in the car.

I am tempted to get booked on this

If you do I think we will both be trying to hang onto 83SY coat tails

But on a positive note a bit like Wiggins and Cavendish, we should be able to all get some great laps in and some good times.

Remind me to book my insurance

Fu king hell.

This thread is a case study in how a small situation becomes a big situation if not managed properly.

This should be case study for college kids on how not to run a business.

That book a track douche bag is going to lose a lot more than 300 quid through bad publicity. He shouldn't have let emotion get in the way, kicking him off the track for a minor infringement was really immature.

What an idiot.
