And talking of S65 engines,seems these guys had nothing better to do. Would really like to see some figures for the results v the costs though. For anybody interested here is a Link to some really good pics of the Merc 190 DTM Cars. You arrive at Page 3 on the link, need to click page 1, as the pics are on Pages 1 and 2 of the link. http://mercedes-190.co.uk/topic/218952/ Evo II and Klasse 1 cars. The AMG Klasse 1 cars made 400 BHP from a 2.5 Ltr Twin Cam 16v 4 pot. They will rev to around 11,000 rpm. Klaus Ludwig in a 190 AMG Klasse 1 car Qualfying at the Ring. Amazing Cars, more so in some regard than the BMW E30 M3's as there were no Merc Customer DTM 190's so the Cars and parts just get harder to find. Regards, The Gorilla. |

I mentioned the Merc 190 Klasse 1 of Markus Westfuld had been upgraded etc, earlier in the thread. This is how it goes now. Not bad for a little old 2.5ltr 16v twin cam 4 pot. Its now around 400 BHP. Regards, The Gorilla. |

Here is some rare footage as it actually shows the Sonax 190 Klasse 1 in action in 1993. This is what Markus Westefuld has based his on. The Grunt of the Klasse 1 engine is quite remarkable for a 2.5 ltr. Regards, The Gorilla. |
