Bike helmets are designed to have one impact and then be good at resisting abrasion, car helmets are more designed for multiple hits so if you're buying a helmet that you are only going to use in a car I'd get a car one IMO.

Pip - go and try loads on, they are all shaped differently and you'll find one brand that feels better than the rest...

Yeah sorry, didn't mean to but thought it was worth mentioning. Any of the big brands are fine but all are shaped differently, most people I know have either an Arai head or a inn Arai head so try them on. We use MSAR in London, Malcolm is a great guy or have a made to measure from Stand21 but that ain't cheap.

I bought from GP Direct at Silverstone - a brand called Zamp, which (I believe) is a US firm that are rebranded Bell helmets. They had bought a load in from the US and were selling for £150 a pop.... Wasnt advertised on their website, they just happened to have some in stock when I was there recently.

I had a great weekend at both the Ring and Spa.

Great to see so many CSL in one weekend, all cars were awesome at both Spa and the Ring!
