Preventative Maintenance on a high mile CSL?
All,
Now that there would be quite a few high mile CSLs getting about out there, at what point are the most common failures and what preventative maintenance are people doing to catch some of these things before it breaks and causes more damage? |

As I'm on 79K miles I have done the Conrod bearings, head gasket and new alternator.
This winter I will refresh / replace the Vanos, SMG pump, Water pump & thermostat and possibly chuck in a new clutch / flywheel. All the rubbers / bushes, wheel bearings etc were replaced during the restoration I did back in 2021. |

Any common range when things start to go, like the bearings or the head gasket?

bearings. did mine at 70k as a preventative measure. Thankfully I did as they were already starting to show signs of wear.
