2004 bmw m3 csl sg
Hey all, I haven`t been a regular poster but do keep my eye on the forum and drool over some of your lovely CSL`s, even the SB ones....
I`d always wanted to own a CSL and finally got the opportunity last year and ownership so far has been everything I`d hoped it would be although find myself not wanting to use it, because of this I`ve recently had thoughts of selling it for an F80 M3... We`ll see what happens there though. Anyway, here are some pictures from initially picking the car up to how it now sits, hope you all enjoy Last edited by DarrenR; 27-05-2019 at 09:34 PM. |

CSL Definitely one of those cars that’s better driven to appreciate.

Just one of those things Darren.
The newer M cars are great smooth and fast BUT you just don't get that signature M Noise. The NA straight six just sums up BMW for me from the CSL going back to the e30 325i Sport I raced a 235i M VLN car down at Anglesey earlier this year. Great machine and very special but it just didn't rev, took some getting used to with the shift lights coming on 3/4 through the rev range. Being turbocharged that's not how they operate. My pal / instructor done some laps in it and he also commented that my e46 race car was a much more "racey" car to drive. Now he races professionally for a living so I tend to listen to what he says I've not even seen my CSL in 4 years as its in private storage. Other priorities in life took over but its there when for when I want it. I have thoughts of selling every now and then and then remember just how competent and how much fun it is as a standard out the box car. Now wise up |
