Front Splitter
Hi - just purchased my first CSL recently. N/S front carbon fibre splitter looked worse for wear (blistering) so ordered a new one off BMW (£220!) Since found out Geoff Steel sell copies for £60 - Do I go original or are Geoff Stell copies OK?
Also original off BMW arrived at local dealer but has no lacquer etc and looks shit as its bare matt carbon fibre. (I pointed out the shiny carbon fibre on the M6 and M4 in the car park!) Do I reject BMW original and go Geoff Steel and get a refund or hope BMW have sent me a 'unfinished one' and await the correct part! Any advice much appreciated. |

I've never seen Geoff Steel's splitters but there are some poor copies out there. |

If you want more photos let me know. The part that you see looks good, but if you look inside these splitters or the bottom it isn't pretty - GS Racing basically make these are 'race' parts, so dispensible if you like. Still for the money I think they are bloody good value and definitely worthwhile if you are tracking your car and don't want the genuine items damaged. Last edited by NZ_M3; 21-07-2015 at 06:38 AM. |
