Default Can the ecu in a csl be read to show operating hours ?

On Porsches, it is possible to read the ecu and see their operating hours. This in conjunction with the mileage can be used to see if a car has been clocked as you can calculate the average speed of the vehicle over its life

If the average speed is reading exceptionally low ( high operating hours but low mileage) then you can deduct it's mileage has been fiddled with .

With some of the CSL's having large gaps between services, is it possible to detect any alteration to mileage ?

I would think so, given the right diagnostics equipment and requisite level of expertise at your disposal.
Although I would say, that in my personal experience, the mileage doesn't tend to increase much, when the car's parked up.
