Default a very small video-xr race

Just for you Dunc as I know you can't be arsed watching me drive

I'll get my excuse in straight away, the car was set up too hard and I was a sitting duck after 5 laps, this was one lap to go, loads of under-steer and with the carburettor struggling to fuel on corners it was hard work after a good start.
If you really cant be arsed watching,it does get interesting at 30 secs.

I came 6th

Superb.

You took some great places and gave some back for no reason.

How come the steering wheel goes round 3 times on a slight bend

The car had no turn in when the tyre pressures had gone up, set up too hard, the car was all over the place.
Shimmy what do you mean gave the places away? I may back off more than others, I already needed a new drivers door after quali.... hit by another car.. do you mean block them off?
If its coming out of a corner the power doesnt kick in until its straight, we are trying to resolve that, carb issue.

race 2 wet - poor start

Race 2- 3 laps in- did well to finish

I think what I mean is that you are aggressive when no chance of contact but my first impression of the corners where you could boss, you stayed wide and went off rather than dominate the entry (obviously not trying to have impact is a good thing, but obviously wanting to avoid it is another, people will take advantage.)

Now part of that may be grip, but the steering input seemed to suggest you didn't want to win as much as avoid trouble.

Yes you are spot on there Shimmy! I know people are already seeing me as the easy pass and I don't want damage, although I still seem to get damage at every meet... Not as bad as some.
There are a lot of fast seasoned guys up front and they will do anything for points, yes I would like to get up in the pack but I'm happy keeping away from the carnage that goes on and it does.
I happy with 5th to 8th for now and as long my good lap times are with the front boys that's good for me in year 1

Makes sense, no point in risking all that high value of the car...............

Personally after watching mx5 for a couple of years, you need to get out there to win. That's what it's all about. If you do it once, you'll never look back. Sod the money until later
