M5 for the weekend:-)
I have been loaned an M5 for three days from my local dealer while my car is being serviced. I have seen the appeal of an M5 but never wanted one. I have to say.......... Christ this car is quick. I have an E92 M3 and this thing is on another level. And it handles as well. A seriously impressive car. 85k no chance. But in a year when they are half the price, wow. I really want one

Is it as nimble in handling as the E92 Ms or E46 Ms?

very nice, was looking at a lovely silverstone one earlier today.
I paid 52k for my E60 M5 and swore i would never do that again, however I see me having the same problem again in a year or so |

The car is nimble, tail happy and does feel like a drivers car. I know any car can go quick in a straight line; but this thing moves. This steering is way better than the E92 M3 as well!!

I tried one a month or so ago and also thought it was stupidly quick. It was -11.5 C outside and the thing was undriveable with DSC off, the wheels were spinning all the time due to the amazing amount of torque even on lover RPMs. I though it drives similarly boring to the E92 (I had one before), but more exciting due to the power and the misfiring blip which I though was absolutelly stunning!!

Agreed. The thing spins in about ever gear. But when it does put the power down it moves. And the steering is way better???

But in any case...I would get one if finances would allow. For now 320 will do

Not knocking the new M5 in any way, but not my cup of tea & it felt great to get back in the csl. Oh, on sport setting it took bad B roads in its stride & even sport plus did not seem that firm. Brakes good & you could hear a butterfly land the car is so silent. Car also too wide I did not feel confident to pass a bus on a country road. Obviously needed more time with it.
