After having done Bretagne for two days, cut away a bit more of the front shield to clear disc's on cornering, the car had new standard pads in the rear, but when changing to road tyres to come home only 3mm left on rear pads, how much braking goes to the rear, does the car need rear AP's too, or a brake bias ?

Standard pads are rubbish, you'd have been fine with decent pads in.
I ran with APs at the front and OEM rears with RS29 in for a couple of years without issue.
