Aye, that how they do it on the Cruiseships. Cracks me up when I watch these programmes on Discovery etc how they build a Cruiseship with a fcukin' Merry-Go-Round on it I mean come on!!! What chance do that have in a bit of a swell.

Judging by the way people were walking about, looks like max roll was maybe 20 degrees, tables should be secured to the deck for a start and the chairs should have been secured away before it come to that. The woman at 48 seconds got a beauty into the pillar, looks like she might have been knocked out for a second or two. Thing is, once Coffee, soft drinks and other fluids start spilling everywhere, it's impossible to stay on your feet. You're as well retreating to your cabin and letting it do it's worse.

It looks like she was maybe turning round to heave too, as the weather was following before hand. Never good.

I was on a containership a few years ago where she rolled just a shade under 40 degrees, now that was scary. Especially since I am the Officer responsible for Stability. Believe it or not though, tests have shown that loaded correctly, these Containerships can roll over 50 degrees and still come back. Some even more. Wouldn't like to try it though. Cabins are usually the worst hit as crew get used to normal weather and unsecure things through the trip then one night, the weather gets up and all hell lets loose.
