Default M3 badge placement guide

Hello from Canada!

I've been lurking on here for a few months and have an opportunity to buy a new CSL bootlid.

I would like to ask a favour if anyone has a template or guide as to where the M3 badge goes. I love the look and don't want to debadge. Or if it's not too much trouble could some do a measurement of theirs? Thanks!

Regards, harvey

I have seen somewhere a measurement guide, an accurate drawing with where exactly it goes. It's somewhere on here, will try and find it for you.

Welcome BTW. Any photos?

Na, just had a wee search there and can't find it. NZM3 will be along in a bit, he's your man with all the tech stuff including diagrams etc.

Thanks for trying and thanks for the welcome! My car is an 03 jet black SMG. All my modifications have been visual including ZCP rims and blacked out kidney and side gills. It was only when I started surfing on here that I fell in love with the CSL bootlid!

I came across an ad from a fellow who sold his car and was still waiting for his bootlid from CA Automotive. Hopefully it will arrive soon! I will post pics as soon as I receive and get it mounted.

There's no official guides from BMW TIS, the closest is this for the M3

I'll do a measure for you when I get home tonight. Best photo I can find so far:

Smile

Thank you kindly for all the help! Now if only that bootlid would finally get delivered! I can't wait to get it mounted and that will be the extent of my modifications.... I think.
