S2 - Picking it up
|
Abingdon airfield track day 12th march
I have done about 20 events here and its one of my favourite track's in the country. Run by www.motorsports-events.co.uk. There are usually a few of my RS4 friend's who attend and would be good to get a few CSL;s there.
The day is about £120 plus £20 for additional drivers. Or if you buddy up you can share a half day with someone and spread the cost for about £60. I cant tell you how much fun we have at these days and I almost look forwards to these as much as going the Ring . Plus its a good meet for petrol heads a like. Some of my Clients/ Friends have seriously modified RS4's pushing up to 540 bhp and passenger rides are always offered for fellow enthusiasts and these modified RS's always give me a run for my money in the CSL's........not that we go there to race but when the opportunity come's along on a track day you have to show the RS's who boss. So anyway If anyone fancies popping over to Abingdon on the 12th of March either go to the web address above and book or give me a call on 07970 424417 and ill book it for you. Also... Im going to the Nurnurgring around the 8th If anyone fancies going or already is. There is also an anual trip that about 20 of us go on in September . This year we go on the Friday 24th and back on the Monday so if anyone fancies that then give us a bell. Many thanks see you out the back on the airfield...where all my lully pictures come from http://www.motorsport-events.co.uk/ or http://www.trackdays.co.uk/tracks/abingdon.htm. It's roughly 120 notes for the full day but I believe that you can book and split half a day with someone else if you only want half a session. Directions to Abingdon Airfield, Dalton Barracks, Abingdon From the A34 Take the exit signed Abingdon A415 and Dalton Barracks and at the roundabout take the third exit signed Dalton Barracks. In half a mile turn right signed again to Dalton Barracks and then turn right again signed to Dalton Barracks. After 300 yards turn left onto the airfield. For those of you with satellite navigation the postcode for the Barracks is: OX13 6JB. Note the airfield is adjacent to the Barracks. Once on site follow out black arrows on yellow backgrounds and proceed at no more than 15 mph to the paddock area. _________________ Last edited by Mark CSL; 28-02-2010 at 09:10 PM. |
