brake fluid change - BMW ?
My car has a full BMW stamped up history incl al the brake fluid changes too.
It's due a brake fluid change again and BMW want £130 ... Looking ahead, do you think having a non BMW garage stamp in the brake fluid change section of the service book is going to put off a buyer ? Just £130 seems a lot for something I do myself on my classic cars |

I would change it self, its not a big deal.
(For the service history it is not thing that matters me.) Last edited by mick csl; 09-09-2014 at 12:25 PM. |

DIY and go with Castrol SRF if you do a lot of spirited driving and track days.

slight update on this ... dont usually click on 'adverts' on forums, but today on one of my porsche forums a BMW service on popped up
https://www.bmw-service.co.uk/ turns out a brake fluid change is £69 all in ... so I've requested the work & through my local BMW dealer at Teesside too. Not had a booking confirmed yet so we'll see what happens |

I know if I do something myself it's done correctly, for a BF change I'd use probably 2L just to make sure all the old stuff is out of the system, can't see a dealer doing that.... Probably 5 pumps on each corner job done, whereas I'd be closer to 50. But then that's just me.

If you have AP's don't forget to take your fluid along with the car.
