Absolutely gutted for you, worst nightmare not even duck tape could have got you home.

If you choose to rebuild it I'm sure there are all the parts you need hanging around here. If you forget resale and just get it up and running for track then you can do it cheaper in the short term. Or even sell some of the interior to fund the major repairs.

I'd like to re-build it as a stripped and caged track car, but fear the damage to the shell is to excessive... I'm pretty good when it comes to working on car's but have never actually attempted to repair a car with this much damage.

Here's some further pictures showing you what I mean about shell damage. If anyone know's anyone who would be able to give me an answer on if this is 100% un-repairable then it'd be much appreciated.

I've got a full set of CSL suspension if you decide to rebuild and don't go aftermarket. Would do it cheap to help the cause. Might have brand new front bumper mounts also, you can have them if I can find them. Anyone else got anything? maybe we can club together to help return a lost CSL to the road!

Can't advise on the shell, but there must be people out there who can sort it and reinforce.

As an aside, Anyone seen a US series called Rides? They do some amazing stuff in the body shops on there

Got any pics of the lower beams in the engine bay?

Its certainly a load of hours on a decent jig (I'd guess about 30) and a lot of parts to weld in but for a race car its doens't look dead just yet.

I'll see about getting it up in the air and getting some shots of the lower beams and underside of the car, from what I've seen all those look straight and un-damaged its just the strut top.

Take it I'd need to pull the engine out to have the repair work done? Then I've also got to factor in damaged doors and rear arches.

I've a rear bumper (without the diffuser) I'd donate FOC. Has a small crack along the bottom corner but apart from that it's mint, would be fine for track work.

hi craig ,feel for u mate ,i work in a body repair centre and from looking at the pics i think that would repair quite easy .my place has certainly repaired worse .all body shops are quietish at the moment from what i hear and would welcome the work ,if you got it all stripped out and delivered to a good repair centre they would welcome you with open arms ,if ur struggling for money just tell them to keep it for times when they are real quiet and fix a price before hand .wish u were a bit closer to me ,we are one of the only kite mark approved repair centres in the country and our jig bloke is shit hot .
let me know if i can help ok
michael ,think ill keep mine in the garage a bit longer now !
