Still undecided on level of warranty, I'm debating where or not fuel injectors, suspension, air con system, on board computer, parking sensors, dashboard displays etc etc really need covering?
Yes, yes, yes, yes, maybe and yes ... For the first year at least get a Comprehensive cover with £250 excess while U get to know your car and any hidden problems, that might crop up. Also, check with Andy (by giving him your CSLs chassis number ) what warranty work it's had already, in the last few years. If, like me U have 14 pages of warranty work which includes BIG stuff like Double Vanos total overhaul and NEW clutch & duel mass flywheel done within the last 12 months, the "Named components" coverage may be the better option as at the end of the day that still covers a lot of IMPORTANT stuff on the CSL + there is always Good will + Andy will do all he can to help a CSL owner out

Crikey!! Some of you have had so many repairs done under warranty to your cars. Is it because they are used on track which wears out these parts ? Or is it the rumour I heard that the earlier built csl's were the "good" ones?

All mine has had is:

1. A new clutch under warranty. Had the "usual" slur and as lots of owners were getting a new clutch thought I had better get one before the warranty ran out.

2. Cracked rear spring (again done when I had warrranty).

3. Leaky diff which happened when it had come out of warranty but was done on goodwill.

4. A new steering wheel - thought I would jump on the bandwagon as everyone seemed to be getting new ones under warranty.

Well, one does have to maximise BMW's generosity to the full + some of the CSL's on here are actually being uses, on regular basis
